I agree. Vendor(s) also have "True Pulcher" but its realy not ST.

It sounds kind of hard because none is lying. Supplier calls them what they sell as and confirms... buyer (in this case "the Love Spreader") says what was told to him with the guarantee.
I realy hope they are dont get me wrong... I just think its a v e r y long shot for true MFK ST's

I tell you what guys... if I come across something that is to good to be true, I will buy first and post pics before I post a thread about a hook up (JM2cents )

i see exactly were your coming from, the problem i faced was that i cant afford to buy a crap load of st's with out prepayments( they are expensive lol)
i didnt want this thread to come out this way i was just hoping id see some interested ppl, if they come in as the sts im praying for, i will put pics up and sell that way

Arent ST's illegal to export from that country only? But open Season once they are away (legal to sell in U.S atleast)??

I knew they were illegal to export from 1 place, just didnt remember where.

Someone posted it being illegal to sell and it threw me off. Thats why I posted the Q. I thought I missed that week iof Dat class to

Been following the thread and have a question. What makes ST more coveted than IT? Is it the color, temperment, intelligence, or simply the fact that it's endangered? I obviously know very little about them, but all Dats look great to me.

one thing that throws some people off are the 3 bar indos. which has the characteristics but have different temperment as well as when they turn unstable. from what i hear is that the ST's are on the verge of extinction but not actually there yet. there are st's available in the asia countries but due to it being low populations of these fishes im assuming the country has put a ban on the import and export. from what i know of. and it is a possibilty for you to bring in ST's that IF you have a direct connection with the fish farm over there. but other then that i would have to say its gonna be very hard to bring in st's at the size.

IT:
they get stress fast, not stable all the time, has 4 bars or more, baby shape and personality are different.

ST: 99.9 if you have the right envoriment for them they will be stable and look golden all the time. only has 3 bars, with high back body shape, great personality just like your dog always begging for food.

As can see many many vendors has brought in IT and has been bred successfuly, however at the same time ST never been bred in aquarium, pond or farm only in the wild.

Thailand had banned from export because they hardly find ST in the wild any more. A Thai fisherman when they catch ST in the wild, is like they find gold. They either keep it and sell them for high price, or try to breed them to make more money.

Gotcha!!! Not to derail but, any idea why ST's don't spawn in captivity? Are IT, ST, NTT, etc., different species or simply geographical variants of the same species?

ST just harder to breed then IT and NTT. ST had been spawn before but the eggs never been ferterlize (spelling)..

One of the breed had success female lay eggs but the female die after that, he then open her up and found more eggs in there.
