I'm satisfied now. I just picked up a Wide bar lookalike at my lfs. I hope this guy does get ST's though, I feel bad for him if he has to come to this angry thread and tell everyone he only got indos. :popcorn:

i've been burned on this forum a couple times by people claiming to have a specific fish for sale only to find its not what it is supposed to be.

i avoided toms thread because i know a couple of importers who all said it was impossible...and what happened? ALOT of people got screwed over and some people are STILL waiting on their refunds.

i would love to get my hands on a few of these dats, but after some of the fraudulent sales threads that have been on this forum I don't think its asking too much to see pix of the fish before laying money down.

one last thing, for everyone saying we should all trust the seller and that the rest of us are ***holes for questioning the legitimacy of his claims; how many of these dats have you pre-paid for?

The chances these are ST’s is slim to none (but there is chance). Any fish that is exported from South East Asia or anywhere for that matter, CITES will OPEN ALL LIVE STOCK BOXES for export and check what species the fish or animal are. After that, they will slap CITES sticker on the box. It would be so much work to smuggle the ST’s out of Thailand and then you’ll have to smuggle that into the US. If the people can smuggle ST’s, why would they not smuggle the holy grail of Asian fishes… the Asian Arowana instead of ST’s?

What info is wrong? All fish for export from Thailand will be inspected by Thai authorities and by CITES. Why do you think it’s so hard to export them then? They are ban for reason.
 
I have a question for everyone... what heppends if they are not ST's?
Didnt the seller state he was trying to "Hook" fellow MFKers up? Not outrage the price and try to make profits to but a 5K tank (just an example)???

My hats off to this dude as his heart is in the right place to include MFK if he did land a Gold Mine.

I dont know much about the thread as far as pre-payed orders and such so I wont comment on that side of the thread.

People just need to wait and be thankful that they got the news for a "Possibility"
