babys

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
at one of the aquarium stores we go to frequently we saw mono's that were about 2 inches long.. obviously freshly moved because their colors were faded out. and the Ocellaris the same place has are about 3 inches long.

the mono's only had a single stripe and no other visible markings and the ocellaris had all of their bars and the eyes on their tails were starting to be defined.

Other than that i've never seen mono's of any size in an aquarium store.

Mono's and ocellaris should look the same at that size. The way to tell imo is the head slope. Look at mono/ocell pics and you'll notice what I mean. The mono's morledzep is talking about sound more like mislabeled tems.

well, we went back to the LFS we saw the supposed mono's at.. and one of the LFS guys asked if i thought they might be tems.. lol. Like i know anything at all.. i know they are a different kind of peacock bass than the 6 ocellaris i already have. But i bought 3, i guess they'll grow out and we'll find out!!! i think they are tems though, i hope..

here is a pic of the new ones..
