well i just remembered that the LFS also got a larger pbass ant the same time as the small ones that i bought that looks like an ocell to me. you think this means mine are ocell?

it's been my experience, however limited it is, that the C. ocellaris are by far the most popular and easy to find peacock bass. I would say the chances that your babies are C. ocellaris are pretty good.

If you're in southern CA, there are more of these c. temensis at Pet World in Redlands.. they are $20 each..

those are the ones in the pic on the first page, i bought 3 when they were about 2 inches long. i don't know how well the LFS feeds them, i don't know if theirs are growing as fast as the dudes i bought.
