Its not an overhead. All though I did have one over my 75g. My thread has some pics and a possible video in it. I'll see if I can figure out how to quote it over here.
Plus from what i read overhead sump have less chance on overflowing during power outage thats why i decided to tey it out. It’ll make more space for the rocks but not sure about the BB to be housed. I believe it’s porous enough.
Currently setting up a sump with 3 tier plastic drawer and lava rocks. Lots of big broken pieces and debris.

I always leave about 3-“4” gap in my tank, the tank is 65g high and the plastic pot i have is about 3’ long 10”high and 8” wide, ill be drilling the plastic pot about 6” high so the water level wont be to high. You just need to make sure there is enough room in your tank to accommodate the water from your sump just like if the tank was up top.
So did some filtration upgrades. I didn't do it exactly how I was going to but I think it will be good. Installed filter socks.

So here's what I've got for pics atm.
How big is the tub?So here's what I've got for pics atm.
So how does this work? You have a pump inside the tank to pump the water in the drawer? So here's what I've got for pics atm.
Well like I said the big set up is gravity, it's under the tank. Yes you would put a pump in the tank and pump water to the three drawer. It would run down through your media and back to the tank. The tub is 48x18×21ish it's tapered so I think bottom is only 14.So how does this work? You have a pump inside the tank to pump the water in the drawer?

I still have it attached to the 180g i dont want to remove it cause im still going to fix that tank and use all the same filtration again.Same flood risks on both. What happened to the eshopps you had ?
