Back in the game!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hey SandNukka I remember you from both sites. I've actually been debating the exact same process that you're going through. Piranhas were my first love. I've been on a break from freshwater for about 5 years now. Been blowing money on saltwater setups. Man that crap gets expensive. Fortunately my wife loves saltwater so I'll have to keep one of those going, but I'm pretty sure that I'm going to jump back into a serra some time soon. Looking at my avatar reminds me of my first serra.....we called him Greasy.

Glad to hear that you're back in the game. If you don't mind would you message me the vendor that you're using?

everyone has that one fish that got them into the hobby. Piranhas were mine. They always held a special part in my heart. For those that remember me from the old p keeper and fury days I had kept a decent amount of different species. I took a leave from them for a good 3-4 years deciding to focus on other monster fish including breeding Ray's.

I got a pretty good deal on a cheap 55 gallon set up. That plus other random equipment I had laying around I figured it's about that time to get back in and grow out one of my favs (xingu rhom) I have a vendor in mind and hopefully will be here sometime soon. The tank has been cycled and now I'm patiently waiting.

I would be interested in your thoughts on a good vender. I am looking at setting up a Piranha tank. I would like something more unique than a Redbellied. So far online I have only found one vender that sells rare Piranha. Thank you!

How's the PA laws for keeping P's? I've managed to have a few rbp's in the past here in NY. Always had some connections since permits weren't easy to get.

Piranhas were the reason I started keeping fish- roughly 20 yrs ago. Wow that makes me feel old. I was only able to get my hands on rhomb once and they ended up getting killed by some convicts that I tried feeding to them. I think that was the last time I have kept them.

I haven’t seen any decent rhombus is many years here in my city. The last one was about 4-5” and was $400. I keep seeing threads on here and it makes me want to try another go at it now that I actually know a bit about what I’m doing. Look forward to seeing your new arrival. I’m not sure if I have ever seen xingu, should be interesting. All the coolest stuff always come from there imo

Check out advinfishbox on Facebook. They have been getting phenomenal reviews with a great selection.
