I don't know if you have a Harbor Freight Tools near you, but their generators are really inexpensive and work well. I bought one to run a ton of stuff, it was a fraction of the cost and more power than the ones at home depot. Its loud, but so what...

It's a generator, get a Honda. Arguably the best and most reliable on the market which is going to make the biggest difference when it only gets used once a year.

None taken, I've used it twice and it's perfect. So far, I've gotten more than my money's worth.

Honda/winco are good gennys, especially if you need them to run for extended periods.
