You blue guys ever consider that the natural water color most of your fish come from are not blue like the the ocean? I try and stick with natural colors that replicate what a fish might see in it's natural habitat. IMO they are more colorful and generally more "calm". Again, just my opinion but I like my tanks built around what I would think my fish would like to see, not me.

black, even though black isnt a color. best shade ;) ha, blue looks to much like a petshop.
I know black is the absense of color, but it's still a color to me. I would say that clear isn't a color. But the main colos I've seen have been black, blue and a ocean breeze........

Checkout the metallic blue in piranha forum. Painted piranha tanks. Its bout the color of mfk blue! I say either blk or blue. Metallic looks sweet!

blue for salt, black for fresh.

If you want more color, use white sand.

I have to strongly agree with JK47 in his comment above ^^^. What you are trying or should be trying to do is duplicate your fishes natural environment which they live in. What might be cool for you or what others may feel is a good color, is not necessarily in the best interest of your fish. Blue is a calming color for humans and a natural color for saltwater fish and sea creatures. But fresh water fish and creatures are more prone to earth toned colors. Varigated shades of greens and browns unless your fish come from an area that has a rocky environment with branches/roots and few plants. There is a MFK Sticky on Biotopes. Check it out and write down references there you feel might help. Try and locate the book and try and duplicate the background color for your type of fish. Your fish will thank you for it. They'll feel more at home. I hope this helps.

Blue, Black, or Red is good. Here is dark blue with driftwood.

Blk & blue seem to work just fine for my piranhas n oscars n such. I know piranha are notorious for being skittish but mine aren't the least bit scared or skittish!if your fish are fed right n have a big enough tank n are cared for properly they won't care what color their background is!!

The blue I like is a lot like fishncash's blue but has metallic in it. Bout same shade of blue though! Tank looks nice Fish&cash!
