i'm thinking of painting the back of my 75 gal. what color should i paint it?

I painted (with a brush) the background of my 120 "gunmetal" gray. I'll throw up a pic if you want. Ive had both black and blue backgrounds and IMO this color looks much better. DEFINITELY don't paint it blue, it just looks unnatural and ugly IMO.

im gonna say it depends on your stock..but otherwise black looks good but blue does to..

The gray sounds intersting. I'd like to see pics

Black for sure it contrasts the fish. I have it on all my tanks.

I've had blue and black. I prefer black, personally, but it's a decision you should make based on your own tastes.

I like algae green or maybe even light brown.

Waters in many of these freshwater regions where our fish come from (ie. Amazon, Nile, etc.) have green or brown waters.

I am also thinking of what color to paint my back wall but I guess I will keep checking back here for some new ideas before I go in and paint.

black background and natural substrate in my experience brings out the fish colors the best, just my experience though.
