background color?

what color should i paint the back?

I didnt paint the back of my tank just in case I wanted to switch backgrounds. I went w/ the black side of the background. I tried the lighter blue side (light blue up top then faded to darker blue) but it just didnt look right.

If I were you, Id go w/ black or maybe try a dark midnight blue.
 
After reading alot of post and articles, I now know I have alot to learn. Looking foward to it. It seams to me that the background should imitake the enviroment that the fish would live in in the wild. Really wonder what they see.
 
Many people paint black. If you want to be unique, go purple!
 
Don't know if this is gonna work, but I'm going to try a black piece of fabric..I'm sure some strong tape will hold it up just fine.. I'd rather not have something permanent just in case I want to change things up....

I use a black fabric shower curtain. It works nicely if you can find a way of hanging it up. I made clips that attach to my tanks rim.
 
I voted for black, but i guess it depends on if its a FW tank or SW... if it were a SW tank i may have chosen blue > black...
