Hey all, looking for some advice from some artists.
I want to paint the back of my 150, but what I want to do is use black/very dark blue at the bottom and then fade it up to a light blue. Kinda want to give it a look like less light is reaching the bottom maybe making it look deeper. I was also considering adding a small amount of green tint.

Any ideas? I tried using acrylic on a spare piece of glass and even that small amount was near impossible to get a nice looking fade.

for a proper fade you need to lay down your base color and then fan many other colors of the spectrum into the final color for it to look right. Look up automotive painting that fade from one color to the next. It is hard to explain but works best if you have a spray gun and start with light blue and keep adding a little more black with every coat until you get the desired effect. You probably can't get ti to look right because you are not using enough colors of the spectrum and need to do each coat thinner. think many many coats of paint.
