looking to do a nice background for my tank...and i wanted to do branches how would i sterilize branches from outside also....could i use the repti branches...in the tank.,..
I actually don't think either way is really safe. I may be wrong, but I couldn't think of anyway to aquarium-safe sterilize wood without destroying it. Why not use driftwood?
The peeled, sand blasted and dried branches used for reptiles are usually safe, twisted madrona looks very nice. if you are worried about hitch hikers you can dip it in boiling water for a couple minutes or thoroughly wipe it down with nondetergent bleach or even hydrogen peroxide.
