background??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That is what I thought with blue. I mean...if I was putting goldfish in the tank, I would go blue...Of course goldfish in a tank would not be happening...unless I got some piranhas again:ROFL: Yep, I definitely agree that black is the way to go. I bought it tonight. I also walked out of the store with 40 neon tetras that I could not pass up for 50 cents each. Sale went off tonight, so it was an impulse buy, which I probably will regret later. I hope neons will survive in a high ph above 7.5!

Why don't ya just buy the background that is blue on one side an black on the other. Then you will be able to decide which you like best.

:iagree: That's a good idea. My personal 150g planted has a black sticky background that I really like but I've seen some blue backed tanks that looked really good as well.

I bought a 20 gal long for fry, at a garage sale for cheap. It has a sprayed on blue background. Every time I look at it, I feel like I am at a fish store.
Go black.

Maybe you missed the part were I said I bought the black background tonight...You can not take cut backgrounds back. The pet shop I bought this at did not have the blue on one side and black on the other or I would have boughten it. I like the black way better. I have another tank painted black, but it does not have plants in it right now, which is why I asked...

Black will give you more contrast and the fish will actually seem to "pop"

Blue would have sucked.

No doubt. Black is way nicer looking. Mine is black and its behind a mosswall . Blue does remind me of being in a fish store. And yes, my fish are POPPIN'.
