Yes, they pull some big fish out of the river. There are a few river guide outfits, and in the past, fishermen have boldly trespassed on our trail to get to the river.

Can you do me a favor? Keep an eye out for Darlingtonia californica. Depending on how far north you are they may be present in your area.

My husband showed me a whole hillside of Darlingtonia californica this afternoon.

It's several miles from our house, along a road where my husband sometimes rides his bike. If you are ever in the extreme NW corner of CA (Crescent City), or in southern OR (Grants Pass, Brookings, Medford) we'd be happy to take you there.
