Bacteria Bloom question

Is it possible to have a bacterial bloom and still no traces of ammonia or nitrite in a new setup? Water is cloudy which Im figuring is a bacterial bloom, but no traces of nitrite or ammonia. I used pre-cycled filter media to hopefully get an instant cycle affect...

yes....

I had this happen 2 weeks ago...
I set the tank up about 3-4 months ago, and have NO spikes or even traces of ammo or nitrite.

During the bloom I did test everyday and there were still no traces of either...

It cleared up in about 6 days.

i heard that high nitrate levels are what causes the bacterial bloom.
