yes bacteria-in-bottle works!!
and what is it the problem with it?
how do you know the fishes are though hell? when they exhibits healthy signs of fish, swim normally and calm?
and importantly no mystery death?!

You know your water params were bad.
You cycled a tank with a baby Arowana in it.
Then fluffed around with chemicals in a hope to get it done quicker.

Yes, your Aro suffered. OK you are lucky it didn't die, but a bout of ich, fin rot and the bad water tells me it wasn't a happy fish!

yes it did has ich for 2 days thats about it, the fins were not rodded out it was torn/shreded because it was scarapping the body to anything in the tank, when 2-3 senior member said it u tend to just agree with them, i know my fishes and their well being better than any of them combined :)
besides i know what find rot looks like and so is ich, some other desease as well and how to fix the problem.
yes i knew the water param were bad at some point in the past thats why i quickly change the water, and it was under control as soon as found out and improving from there.

the key here is if you cycle with bacteria in a bottle and fish make sure to monitor the parameter and KNOW what to do about it when things go south.

no it wasnt luck that baby aro grew up to a foot now, luck dont hits everytime otherwise all those gamblers will make las vegas go broke.

Ok Dayak, If you say so. (myself and 90% of the people in your threads disagree, surely we can't ALL be wrong huh?)
A foot now! Post a FULL tank shot!

Seachem Stability works. Many people have used it and there is even a thread by an experienced fish enthusiast and a MOD now (JK47) about how Stability works. Others might not work....but Stability does.

I ALWAYS use Stability now. Their are times where I do not, but most of the times I do now. Nothing can beat a good ole Cycling treatment, but Stability gets darn close. Their fish to me....not humans or dogs or cats. Unless I start to have die offs using Stability, will not be planning on stopping anytime soon.

These products do work. I used Tetra SafeStart, which uses the same type of bacteria as used in Dr. Tim's One and Only, and I was able to fishless cycle my 55 gallon Oscar tank in a matter of days. I wouldn't do as the label suggests and just add the fish with the bacteria but I got similar results as what happens when you move over an established filter to a new tank. The science on this is sound. BioSpira used to work back in the day but it had to be kept refrigerated.

Bump

I had a question about this stuff so i emailed them, got back a few hours latter.

"One & Only seems like a great product, does it contain Denitrifying bacteria to convert Nitrates into Nitrogen?"

Got back

"Thank you for the email. One & Only does not contain denitrifying bacteria. It is 100% nitrifiers."
