just took a pic right now, tank looks clear but the side is blurry my question is, is it the side glass that is messed up or the water is?

When are you gonna get a bigger tank???

That's a question that only you can truly answer. Clean your glass. Step back and observe.

you never gave me the real solution to it rather than OMFG GET A BIGGER TANK

The solution would be to get a bigger tank. You can try whatever method, they may work they might not work. But at the end of the day, you need a larger tank to cope with both the size of your fishes and the bioload they produce. I'll not discuss on the size of the fish since you are just pure stubborn to admit that the RTC isn't gonna last a lifetime in your tank and i'm sure many people around here have already told you about it.

So lets talk about bioload. RTC are messy eaters, produce lots of waste. Sure you can upgrade your filtration, get a diatom filter to get all the bacteria in the bloom out of the water. It may work for awhile. But as the RTC grows, so does the bioload. Even an FX5 isn't capable of handling the bioload of a full grown RTC. And you are gonna get this bacteria bloom again. So what are you going to do? upgrade your filtration? Thats just dumb, with that $ I would rather invest it in a bigger tank. So the real solution is this

"OMFG GET A BIGGER TANK"

LOL Sorry man it's true. There's just not going to be enough water in that tank to keep the bloom from happening over and over. The best solution for the present time is what was mentioned on the last page, the one stating to do 20% water changes every day. It's a good temporary solution for the next month or so, but you should probably think about getting rid of the Red Tail. They grow much too quickly as compared to the P Bass which will grow an inch a month if you scarcely feed it. It still wont last long, but at least you'll buy yourself that much more time to get a bigger tank.

To the O.P.:

There is no way you are going to be able to post about a 20G stocked with Cichla, an arowana, and an RTC without getting flamed. My suggestion would be to immediately rehome your fish and start over with a more tank-appropriate stock list.

Good luck!
