I hate to say it but I don't like this tank. Or rather I don't like the footprint. It's to short. If I had a tank that long and wide I would want it like 3 feet deep.

at first i was real hesitant on the 5' width, not the 20" height. If i could i would have gotten it 22" and that would have been perfect. But for the fish i keep, the 20" is perfect for them, and I dont get my armpit wet when i need to reach in.

I would want it like 36 deep. Other wise it would look squished to me and annoy me to no end.

That would double the thickness of the acrylic costing more $$$$

Give and take I guess? I'm looking at getting a 10X4X3 or 10X4X4 tank built but every foot deeper doubles the cost because the acrylic needs to be thicker. Now I may just go with a 10X4X2 lol I like the look of this tank!

Hey Egon!
I know how you feel man. I'm in the market as well for the same size tank. Looking to get something for my RTC, TSN, and RTCxTSN that I can keep them in so I can see them before they go in my pond and all I can do is look down on them. After they out grow it (which wont be long of course!!!) I plan to stock it with Moroto rays. The depth part is a killer! Would love 48 tall but dont want to spend the $7K plus extra!

here is a mix of pics. some with no sand in the tank, with sand and some fish pics. Notice there is only 100lbs of sand in the tank. Anymore and it would be overkill.
