Well, other cichlids are catching on as human food. Capt'n Highliner how has their own Tilapia filets out.
I've tried them. They were good. I'll probably just stick to that though, less chance of developing cancer of the butt eating them. mmm...CLOUT
It is funny how much attention this has gotten. Dude, theres probably only one other incident that has ticked off more cichlid keepers than you eating your fish, and that's whomever is responsible for introducing Nile Perch to Lake Victoria
I never could have done that to my midas, but I've grown him since he was nothing but eyes and tail, so it's quite different from just having picked them up at the pet store full grown.
We've got a fella that eats aquarium fish on a regular basis up here. He often comes in and purchases huge Pacu's that have been brought back to the lfs. I don't think they let him anymore cause I don't see him around now, or maybe he just ingested too many fish meds.
