What's wrong with that?

As long as the corys are getting enough food to maintain their "plump" figure, there is nothing wrong with a betta eating cory food.

If you want to be sneaky about it you can distract the betta by dropping a little bit of food in one end of the tank and then feed the cories in the other end.

If the cories are on the ball they'll catch on fairly quickly.
Course if you have a smart/sneaky betta it will too, but whatever :P

Another alternitive is to feed the cories tropical flake food, most bettas aren't interested in it.

Or feed them right before you turn the lights off, my cories love the eavning/night when it's too dark for anybody else to see them.

Sidenote: If it is a large enough tank you might want to consider a few more cories, most of them really like to have a group of at least 5-6 to be comfortable.
