Well I have been away from here for some time and well I have come back from time to time with updates. Well sadly something went horribly wrong. All my pleco's died off after a water change. Don't know what happened. The tetra and the little tilapia that were in there are still alive but not my poor pleco's. I have been thinking of leaving the hobby but not like this. So now I own 1 pleco 1 tetra and 1 tilapia. Pleco that is still alive was solo in a different tank which is the L25 in my photo.

So upset taking my big tank down now. Only good news is my L25 is being a pig....

Sorry for the loss.

Dame sorry to hear man.

Yea sucks. I had this happen one other time in the past but that time ended up being a busted pipe the city was working on but don't think that the problem this time. Oh well. Now trying to decide if I should part with my L25 and just call it quits for the hobby for now.

Well the tilapia I have to part with it's to mean despite it being small Tilapia syndrae think thats how its spelled. Tetra minds his own business if anything I would get more if I keep the L25.

these things are an unfortunate risk of the hobby, sorry to hear of the loss.

It's difficult to do considering the cost probably invested in your pleco's, but perhaps its a chance to refresh the tank; and hopefully be able to avoid similar catastrophe in future if at all possible.

Do you think it was stray chemicals introduced from the tap water? What size water change did you perform?
