bad habits while working on tanks??

just wondering what type of bad habits from everyday life
follow you while cleaning/rescaping your tanks...

with the setup i have now i do not have to do as much
cleaning as i used to but im a smoker and always have
ashes fall into the tank.. what do you do?

I like to drink some tasty, tasty alcoholic beverages while I change water. Not really a bad habit, but they pair well together.

It has been known to happen, especially when the Python is draining slowly and I'm drinking fast. When it does, more water is taken out which leads to more drinking. It's a vicious cycle.

I smoke, and I also always end up letting the sump overflow somehow :/, need to configure some pipes to stop back siphoning, and also need to account for the fact that my hose is adding water faster than my gravity + sump pump handles, so there is usually about 5 more gallons of water above the overflow that needs to drain (reach equilibrium between overflow drain and sump pump) once I shut off the hose.

not sure if that made sense, but its how i see it in my head

always forget to unplug the heaters, until i smell the burning lol. ..I don't run wet/dry on my set up so I can't put in the sump. Thats the only bad habit for me.

I've gotten side-tracked and siphoned the water out of my oscar and severum tank to the point they are on one side doing the one eye up and stink eyeing the heck out of me with that one eye.

I like to smoke what the kids call them left handed cigarettes and let's just say I've started watching a game or a tv show and forgot I was even doing a water change in the first place until I hear a a loud filter grinding noise.

100% water change sometime...cause I forgot about it (I was doing some raids content in an online game) until the fish slashing their tail on pretty much empty water tank LOL No harm done yet I think my fish got used for a dry bath on substrate...Hey, they might have an idea if they jump out of my tank they will getting that feel but in a serious problem (I have no cover on all my tank) /evil laugh
