How about few live feeder it can chase and eat if possible. Mouth will move and you will know if its a keeper or gonner
I got 2 and 4 silver dollars to grow out, lets see if some larger ones get brought in, I'll bring the smaller ones in for them and pay the rest, because of their eventual size I don't want no more than 2 balas. I also got a 4 line cat, i had 2 with my old mala that was about 12", one cat was the same size as the wolf the other was 8" they did well with him, and i had a large leporinus, i wanna try and do this set up again. I had some other semi-aggressive larger fish i can't remember, one was a Asian USD cat. I got one of those. I need some more fish to spread aggression bad lol. Hopefully everything goes good.
