bad news guys, I'm obsessed.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
LOL. Thats how it starts. I started with a 5.5 gallon, to a 10 gallon, then a 29, then a 55, then a 75, then a 125, then a 400 gallon goldfish pond, and now have them all running (and more) with a 1000g plus koi pond in the backyard... I like the insane amount of filtration you have on the 75 gallon tank! The water quality must be excellent. Time to stock up on more fishies to grow some more good bio bacteria on the expensive eheim bio material! ;)

And soon enough you're going to have 3 ponds, 1 pool, and a mess of tanks and a 900 gallon that you bought that isn't set up yet lol. Speaking from experience.

I think you need another filter LOL. Thats a nice tank. I was going to order a 2' alligator skull online but they have to glue the teeth back in ( no gums) not sure thats safe for an aqurium. Thats cool you are so into your fish, they look well cared for.

Embrace the madness and get ready for a WONDERFUL RIDE

thanks guys. being a hardwood cabinet maker gives me some leeway in what I do. my wife really likes her china hutch, but I have to build my personal works in my free time. that means they take weeks for me to actually get done. I'll upload some pictures of the base so far tomorrow probably if I have time to pull it back out. it's alder with full overlay doors so it just looks like a solid cabinet. I haven't decided if I'm going to put on handles or use the magnetic push latches. I do know that I'm going to stain it dark.

more filtration? I almost bought an fx5 yesterday. 205$ for a new one???? I'd have to buy so much more media though. ups the price a bit. I have pictures of the filtration set up all janky here. post #6. until the cab is done I'm stuck with almost everything outside the tank. not pretty. just sitting on the stand I got for free with the tank.

The filter thing was a joke, you have more than enough filtration!!!
