tsn=tiger shovelnose catfish
rtc=red tailed catfish
i guess lsn or just lima=lima shovelnose catfish
hope this helps. man no offense but ya should of seen it comin. my 7 inch pictus pims would eat feeder goldfish and mollies that where 2.5-3.5 inches. and an rtc has a larger mouth to body ratio. so sorry bout the loss though:(

ha yea really should have seen it comin. i have a 4 in lmb in with my 10in rtc an dnow a 12+ in jardini..... its only a matter of time...
i might take him to my dads pond tho. he hasnt converted to pellets yet so i think he will be just fine, and has a head start on his brothers and sisters

I just got a lovely RTC baby of about 2" for birthday present (my husband gave it to me). I have read a lot in regards of this beautiful fish... it is recommended to have it by itself when it grows (because those babies can swallow anything). You can search some videos of RTC eating other fish in Youtube, you'll be surprised.

Has anyone noticed how old this thread is?
Almost 2 years. Pointless to bump a thread like this as this info is said almost daily.
