I ran to my LFS today and bought a hundred feeder for my fishes. The tig dead in 3 hours. Then the arowana dead in 5 hours. I don't know that my rays and my gar survive not. Let see tomorrow morning. What should i do for my aquarium? Water change? Or take some water and test the water.
LESSON LEARNED: NEVER FEEDING FEEDER FISH.

Seems odd that they could die that fast.

The feeders were alive themselves, yet killed your fish?

Why the gill flare on the tig?

Wht are their symptoms?

Last pic, the feeders dying themselves?

It is the sand on the tig.
My fish just being tired and then dying. Yes. The feeder dying thwmselves.

Because the feeders were contaminated with bacteria, not a parasite issue; assuming your water parameters are in check.

One other consideration is could you of over dosed with a chemical. Have you done any water changes recently?

A hundred feeders is quite a bio load to dump in at one time. Did you dump in the bag water as well? That would add a lot of ammonia. I always dump mine thru a net and toss the bag water. My RBP has been pretty indestructible. Also what is your bio filter setup if your display is bare bottomed? How's your ammonia level?

I would guess water issue not feeder issue. I agree could have been ammo spike because of adding the feeder bag...

I would do full param test

Anyone survive?

Any disease transferred from feeder to your fish would not kill them that fast, Im guessing that your parameters spiked from the large amount of fish you added at once, 100 is quite a bit.

I think a extra toxic bacteria strain could do it....Onset of symptoms would depend on the health of the fish leading up to it. In this situation, it does seem likely an water quality issue if parameters haven't been tested.

^ Idk, if it is extra toxic, the already very stressed, small, weak feeders would have been dead in the holding tank before purchase.
