Bad source food: feeder fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Because the feeders were contaminated with bacteria, not a parasite issue; assuming your water parameters are in check.
One other consideration is could you of over dosed with a chemical. Have you done any water changes recently?
i didn't do any water change recently.
A hundred feeders is quite a bio load to dump in at one time. Did you dump in the bag water as well? That would add a lot of ammonia. I always dump mine thru a net and toss the bag water. My RBP has been pretty indestructible. Also what is your bio filter setup if your display is bare bottomed? How's your ammonia level?
i just took my water for water checking. the guys who check for me, he said my water is pretty good. 0 ammonia, 0 nitrate, and pH is 7. that is what he said.
I would guess water issue not feeder issue. I agree could have been ammo spike because of adding the feeder bag...

I would do full param test

Anyone survive?
yes. my rays, two motoro and my gar is survive.

The bucket with dead feeder is separate with my tank and filtration. I catch the feeder and feeding my fishes by hand
For my filtration, i have hang on filter and the dry wet sump. For dry wet sump, i have actived carbon on the top, then filter, sponges, bio ceramic.

I use guppies and convict fry for feeders that I raised myself never had problems
