there is no such thing as too many wc's 50% a week is fine. i did 75% a week until i started testing my water and realized i could get away with that every 2 weeks without any problems.

meh, but you also have to consider how much that costs water utilities wise, it all stacks up

30% isnt bad if he has a lightly stocked tank, GL with your tank- i love my loaches there always active and give good colour to my tank

I've been doing 50% water changes weekly on my 135 gallon without problems. Got a Malawi tank, fish are breeding, mothers holding....

Very difficult otherwise to keep the tank below 40 ppm nitrates when overstocked (got 41 fish in there).

50% a week is way to much, youll destroy all the good bacteria.....

That's not true, but what is your reasoning?
