Holy crap. That's scary and sad. I got really upset when a car lost control in front of me on an icy road last month and I received damage to my car. Seeing things like this really puts things in perspective.
I deal/work with people with DUIs and my supervisor is member of MADD and he sends me links for them. He sends me pics and stuff from DUI accidents also but most of them are pretty gruesome.
I don't understand how a van can disintegrate like that, I mean they usually get heavily bent and crumble, but I've never seen something like that before.
BTW never driven on ice/snow, so how hard is it to regain control of vehicle on snow/ice?
For those that can't understand how a Chevy suburban disintegrates: I believe
Force = Mass x Speed. Average semi truck fully loaded is around 75,000 to 80,000 pounds times around 55 miles per hour = bye bye large suv. It's a sad video for a small mistake of over correcting a skid.
