I have a male peacock that got beat up pretty bad when I temporarily had my peacocks is a rubbermaid container while I changed my substrate. I have him in my 10 gallon tank I set up for recovery or quarantine. What's the best way to help him heal? Should I just leave him alone in the 10 gallon for a while or do I add something to the water to help it along?

Melafix is meant to be really good at healing fins, you can get that in most pet stores. Also a good diet and salt would help

I would not mix Melafix and salt. I would just do a light salt treatment if you wanted, but a healthy diet should heal them up on it's own fairly quickly.

Melafix is more for bacteria infection. For nipped fins, its just like a cut.
Ensure the water quality is good and the aggresser is seperated. It would heal on it's own.
