Aight guys, hit me up with info conserning these beasts. I am very close to gettin one...but I wanna make sure i get the parameters correct. I've heard people say they should be a solo tank fish, but I've seen others that have kept them with other fish. I've heard wide ranges for temp. from 70 to 80 degrees. And I've heard varius statements about aggression and feeding.

MY questions are:

1.Can you keep them with other fish? If so what fish?

2. What IS the temp. range? Will they live/tolerate 80 degrees?

3. How much circulation do they need in the tank? I have tons, but don't want to have too much.

4. Temperment with other Bagarius?

5. Feeding, are they just like all other large cats, feed till satiation?

Thankz to all! This is one of my fav. cats.....so I am indeed stoked about gettin it.

Hey Peanut-power I don't have one but you should pm fishman76092. He has one and he might be able to give you some tips about them. Or he might repy to the thread but I would pm him.

check planetcatfish?

they have a forum too, if he's not already signed up.

they have 1 at a LFS for $100.

I would love to get any but I don't have the room. Peanut-Power you should just get it and ask quesions later.

I'll tell you what has worked for me. Bagarius Yarelli inhabit rivers with very harsh currents of cool water. They are the most high oxygen fish I have ever delt with. Keep them in a large tank with no heater because they like cooler temps 65-72 degrees. A huge power head, you can never have enough current with these guys. I was using a AquaClear 802 powerhead on a 55 gallon tank for 2 5" specimens. That was good enough but I would recommend a little more. As far as keeping them with other fish I'm not sure. I dont know to many fish that can deal with the cool temp. and high currents. As far as keeping them together, I have had no trouble. As long as they are well fed, you have a large enough tank and they are comfortable they should co-exist with no problems. Hope this helps.
