Bagarius yarrelli help... PLEASE

I recently purchased my yarrelli from All Happy. The fish showed up on Tuesday as agreed, and hasn't eaten. I'm worried because the fish had to be starved in order to be shipped, and it hasn't eaten anything since I've gotten it. It seems healthy enough, but it just won't eat. I've offered it pellets, blood worms, live feeder fish, live ghost shrimp, freshly killed feeders and freshly killed shrimp. I've tried feeding it with all combinations of lights on and off in the day and night.

Do any of you who have experience with yarrelli's have any tricks you can recommend to get him to eat? This fish was painfully expensive and I don't want it to starve it's self!

The little guy just sits in a corner of the tank with the current blowing on his face. He's currently by himself in a 10 gallon grow out tank so my 6" RTC doesn't eat him. He's 4" right now, but not nearly as massive as the RTC. Sorry, no pics. Don't have a camera at the moment.
 
try a larger tank, i had a 3in tsn who wouldnt eat in a 10 gal and as soon as i put him in a 30gal breeder he started woofing stuff down. Give him a little more time though, cats can go a while without eating, my hybrid hasnt eaten in 5 days, just cuz he doesnt feel like it. longest he has gone was 12 days before a meal. i just think he gets to lazy to eat. he gets live feeders, fish filets, pellets, ghost shrimp, and yet sometimes he just wont eat.
 
I agree that you should have a little more time to adjust to new surroundings. I hope you have a hugs tank/pond in plans for the future for those 2 guys you have. post picts.

How much did the yarrelli cost from All Happy????

I do have plans for a huge tank. I have a 50 long right now (4 foot base) that should do me till spring, at which time I'm going to get a 200ish gallon with the longest footprint I can find. After that, I'm going to do a 12 round x 2 stock tank "pond" in my garage, and after that when I build my house I'm going to incorporate a huge (20ft plus) pond into the foundation. I also have a gold nugget L018.

The yarrelli was $162 all said. I contacted the fellow who operates the "All Happy" account, but I had been talking to him for weeks, and was told that I would be shipped to a long time ago.
 
whats L018? sounds like good plans man, make sure you keep us posted on how everythings coming, and get some pics up of that yarrelli stat, im anxious
 
awesome fish man, that plecos awesome and the yarrelli looks amazing, keep us posted on him and make sure u updastes us with pics and his growth rate.
