Try putting shrimp on a Tong or stick and put it near his mouth-might work. Years ago I had a Juruense that did the same thing-so I literally placed the shrimp right in front of his face and he ate-after a week or so it got to the point where I no longer had to do that.

remember keep the temps down and the current high and it will be a happy fish....... if they feel like another fish is a threat they will react by shredding the fish.........
yea i wish i had a camra when my old one got a hold of my hand...... it was pretty bad my tank actualy turned a little red the pain wasnt to bad tho kinda like a razor blade........... it was when i was younger i also had a 30" silver arowana dislocate my wrist............

thats not a bagarius yarelli, its a glyptothorax sp. that look like bagarius but only grow a few inches. there was a thread a while ago that was about this. But who knows they could be actual bagarius but the picture on aquabid is a glyptothorax
