I'm toying with the idea of finding one of these guys. they are monsters. but they have to be able to cohab long term with a few of my other fish. the stocklist would be

RTCxTSN
Niger cat
marble cat
3 GATFs

that's what I currently have. and hope to still have once I build my big tank.

I know these cats are uber agressive and that's fine as long as they won't bother the niger or GATFs. I highly dought this will work b/c they are colder water fish and the GATFs are hotter water fish. but I just wanted to see what anyone has to say about this.

Keep in mind that I won't even purchase one till my big tank is finished and stocked then I will buy one and grow it out so that it's the smallest fish in the tank and one of the last to claim territory.

also the longterm home for these fish is going to be in the ballpark of 25'x5'x3.5' Maybe longer but not wider. I want the GATFs to have room to run up and down the tank and not have to swim in circles.

I don't think they will be fine with the GATF's... Unless the GATF's are big...

The plan is to get the GATFs into the big tank first then buy one of these bad boys and grow him out in a smaller tank. I'm looking at a few years before I seriously look into buying one. so the GATFs will be around 3' before I have the big tank built. Assuming they all make it to hat length. So I have quite a long time before this would happen. And the GATFs will be alot bigger the the cat when the cat gets introduced.

I know dieselmack had two at one time but he hasn't been on in almost a month.

Is the bigger worry the GATF eating the cat or the other way around?

Honestly, I'd be worried about both ways. The cat could shred the GATF if it wanted to.
