He's about 5'', maybe 6'' at most.

Kinda hard to tell, but it has some gold on the tail, but the bahias I have have their tails covered in gold.

What size are you bahias at? When did they start to develop a lot of gold in the tail?

A local member, he purchased him off of tropical fish distributors.

Yours seem to have more gold in the tail, but really dont look that different besides that? I dont see any anal fin spangling in yours, hmm. Mine is also rather stressed especially since his eye is injured, not sure if that would have anything to do with it but it might.

They have anal spangling now...I got them from Calisucks.
