Remote controlled Bait boat: ban him: :D well that can be the out-cry I have had one of these things for 3 years now I normally only use it in France as they are banned on most waters but until you have one or use one you hate them at the point you get the use of one or purchase one you love them;) . I will add I only use it to get those baits in awkward spots and long range fishing where a cast is imposable, i.e. under a under hanging tree at range. My one has not got the addition of the Echo Sounder to find the depths & drop-offs but they can come with this. The ethics of whether bait boats are fair or not is the subject of much discussion. The initial reaction of many anglers is to call for them to be banned, a sentiment driven more by jealousy than anything. You see, the plain fact is that a boat will definitely put more fish on the bank for you. It will also save you hanging leads and lines up on overhanging trees, snagging up on islands and leaving baited hooks in positions where wildlife is put at risk. I will end by saying in France last year I had the swim that had produced the least fish 2 week running the Angler that was in my swim was laughing at the bait boat but when he helped pull my 40lb carp out his first words after you lucky sod were when I get back to England I’m getting on of those.:naughty:

So what do you think? it’s also good for pike fishing as well as carp as we use a lot of dead baits for our pike and Zander.

take a look:D

Very cool!

I can't find the link now, but we have a couple over here too, but they're used for trolling.

A good friend of mine said he didn't like fishing and that I couldn't ever get him interested in it, guess who won that bet! :D

If you could find the link I would be interested I thought it was a European thing that would be cool I just love to see stuff like that.:D

I think it's a neat idea to use it if you place depth finding equipment on it . to find ledge , rock pile's and flat's... aswell as placing two stick's of dyinomite perfectly in the slot's and drop'em over the hole.. :naughty:

I wish they stocked Zander's here in the state's more they are sweet looking fish . the eurasian cousin to the walleye, the color of them is amazing ...

We have anglers in the UK dedicating there entire winter as a lot of summer nights fishing for them. They don’t get as big as the European ones, they get huge take a look at this one 18.7 kg that’s 41lb:WHOA:(nice hat:naughty: ) the British record stands at 19lb 5oz although there are rumours of a 19lb 12oz fish being caught from the Gt. Ouse Relief Channel in Norfolk. I have been trying to catch a good one for the last 3 years and all I get is Pike:( . But then again a fish is a fish:D . As for the bait boats with eco sounders the British women record holder for the most 30lb carp in one year uses a bait boat and putt 70% of her angling down to it. The rest goes to her bait well they do sponsor her;) .

there pricy too !!!

Yes you’re right there Dan they can be but like all things they are coming down in price. They used to be £600 + for a good one now they are down to £300 all in! Ok no Eco sounder but does the job.

Yes sir just like there cousion's the WALLEYE angling for them is a challenge . when you fish for them have you tryed maggot's ??? they work wonder's on walleye even leech's are a good bait.. light tackle like 4LB test seem's to not spook'em .I've never been able to catch one on anything bigger.
