I didn't mean filter feeding. But there is always some uneaten food or particles floating about my tank when I refill it, and the jurupari try to eat it. The particles are small, smaller than flake food, but my fish still go after it. Anyways, it was just a guess

no, not just the stuff in the sand. I mean the particles floating in the water. After I stir up the water my jurupari zip back and forth with their mouths open.
