Bala sharks missing scales

I started to think maybe Balas are ready to spawn. Could they be beating up each other.???

8'' would be tiny for that, no? I know nothing about the reproductive habits of the species, but it gets big.
 
I have a 13" bala he's grown 1" in the 7 months I've had him. I've heard of
Them reaching sizes of 16" in captivity

Balas starting to look a little worse this morning.
I haven't separated them yet. I'm going to Melifix the tank tonight and see if that helps a little.

I saw it last night with lights off.
Bala sharks nipping and fighting with each other.
It must be a spawn.

Yup the balas will fight i had to seperate mine. Also my ck takes big scales off my balas. When the bala gets too close ck will take a big bite

What's weird, is they don't fight all day long, then all of a sudden, they're nipp' n at each other.
Right now they're swimmn together without any issues.

What's a ck?
