I wouldn't fault anyone for breeding a Spider, it's just not something I'd do myself.

As mentioned above, very severe head wobble can prevent the animal from eating properly. Specimen that are this severe rarely take their first few meals and do not survive to become sellable. But on the other hand, in some cases the head wobble is barely noticable and doesn't interfere with the animals functions in any way. It just looks a little odd at times.

As for housing them togehter... it's generally considered a bad idea. While Ball Pythons are not 'cannibilistic' by nature, there have been reports of it happening. But even overlooking any chance of one snake eatign the other, it is still quite possible for one snake to stress the other(s) out.

That being said, I keep my 3 hatchlings together. I have other enclosures on hand and can seperate them at the first sign of a problem. But in the mean time, they are together.

That being said... I'm currently keeping mine together

Yeah, a crazy head wobble can result in the animal being put down due to not being able to function. One with a noticeably slight head wobble could probably be sold at a higher price IMHO.

After a Construction mishap, "The contractors didn't plastic off and tape properly before they started sanding drywall and coated my entire house with Gypsum dust, Including the interiors of my Herp enclosures." My 7 1/2' Red Tail Boa Started doing this. Took her to the vet and diagnosed her with Stargazing due to Neurological damage due to the Gypsum Dust. She was put down.

I can't see why anyone in their right mind with any type of compassion toward animals would breed a species with a desired characteristic KNOWING that this may be the outcome. I mean come on people isn't controlled breeding supposed to be an effort to get the BEST traits out of an animal?

I'm sorry about your boa and about breeding for the best traits, the head wobble isn't a good trait but it goes along with the Spiders good traits
