Got a call today from one of the local dentists offices...
They found a ball python in the shrub outside their door this morning.
Now, mind you we've been getting below-freezing temps here at night. This little guy was cold and sad. Has a little bit of a whistle in his breathing, and a pretty big scar on his side that is still healing a bit.

The dental office is located next to a very large apartment complex... one that I know for a fact has a "no reptiles" policy that is fairly strictly enforced. I can only guess that the previous owner dumped this guy after being found out.

Anyway, this post would be pointless without pics, so here you go!

Ouch, poor guy. At least someone found him and recognized that he isn't a native, so that he got rescued. I'd bet he's pretty pissed off too. Getting kicked out of your nice warm home with regular easy meals, and forced to fend for yourself in a cold environment you're not suited for...

He is pretty active now that he's warmed up, but no aggression so far. I'm hoping he proves to have a nice calm temperament so I can use him for an educational animal

... and your sig always cracks me up.

:D

I figure he'll love you for saving him from freezing to death. Or at least be nice and not bite you...
