Also pick up a good book, this way you will already know the "basics" about BP care. Even though they are listed as one of the best beginner snakes they do need some
"special" care and a good book will set you on a path of success.

Get a GOOD book, there are very few. Pet shops purposely do not sell the few good books. They WANT your animals to die so you coem back for more thinking its the books fault, so youll buy another book and animal. Anyway, get The Complete Ball Python by Kevin McCurley. If youre too cheap to get it, shame on you.

oh wow. It's a really REALLY good idea to get a digital thermometer with a probe. I got some indoor-outdoor probe thermometers that also show the humidity. They were about $12 at Lowe's.

OH SNAP. Is it or does this sound VERY familiar to me? Maybe because I said him to do the same thing several MONTHS ago, with a different animal.

You NEED a tepurature guage under the hot part of the tank and on the other side of the tank. You also NEED a humidity guage. This is all basic cheap things.
