It's really pretty! I'm not sure if this one is a bumblebee-- it doesn't look like it to me but I'm pretty new at figuring all of these morphs out. Maybe a pastel pinstripe?
How's its temperament so far? Is it eating frozen/thawed?
It's pretty shy, and really shows you why it's called a "ball" python, lol. But it's not nippy, aggressive, etc which some of the other babies I've had were... so I'm happy on that front. It was on live with the guy that produced it, but it took a F/T yesterday with no objections. *cheers*
That's what I was thinking! I just said pinstripe cuz spider just wasn't poppin in my mind. It's definitely not a bumblebee though cuz those are just insanely bright (like neon yellow) and the black on them are extremely dark. If I remember right. A bumblebee is just a pastel spider.
How much did you get it for?
I traded it for a blood python I had picked up in the early spring. I thought I was going to be more into the bloods, but it ended up that wasn't my cup of tea. The guy I traded it to, lucky for me, was getting out of balls and into bloods so he was elated to have it.
I do find it interesting that the eye is greenish, haven't seen that.
How's the Sav doing?
I thought that was interesting, too. It seems to change slightly with the lighting (or maybe it's actually changing, like how some people eye's can go from blue to green/etc... but I'm not sure if that works the same in reptiles). It has very lovely eye coloring no matter what the lighting is, though.
And Albert is doing great. He's much more active now and he's calmed down a lot (with handling, aggressive feeding, etc). He's was enjoying the summer immensely because I went crayfishing throughout, and brought him home a great many "snacks". He is slightly problematic during free roam time, he's developed a love affair with my fridge... loves to climb up the back and sit on top and watch everyone go about their business. Not such a problem until you forget about it and go for a drink and large tongue forks out into your face. -_- I have to find his thread again and put up pictures of the custom enclosure I picked up for him (another craigslist find).
