Hey everyone I'm think if getting my first snake. A ball python. I have been looking around for information of them and found a bunch but would like to hear how some actual keepers have their setups (temp, cage size, feeding schedual, ect. ) if anyome can throw in some info for me that would be great. A pic or two would be cool too. Thanks! :)

Hey Kevin, balls are probebly my favorite snake to keep, right now I have two females a chocolate and a normal and within the next couple weeks I will be pickin up a male spider. Anyway balls are really easy to keep. I keep mine in a snake rack and on Aspen chips (not Aspen bedding) and a water bowl and the rack is heated so it is perfect for them the air temp I keep in the mid 80s. This setup works and my pythons dont mind. The reason you can keep them in This kind of setup is because of the fact that in the wild they spend the mojority of the day hidding so the don't really move around til night time. For feeding I feed once a week and the rule of thumb is that the size of the widest part of their body is the width of the largest food item they can fit in it.

I'll post pics and more Info later right now Im doing this on my touch so it's kind of hard.
