Feeding in a bin is useless. Keep the snake in its cage. Moving it can stress it out so it wont feed, and you are far more likely to get bit if you move it afterwards. About the sand boa on aspen, I do not like aspen. Its dusty and not natural. GO to a store and get a 40lb bag of playsand for $5. Or go with some dirt.
