At the petco near me they have ball pythons for $29.99, is this a good deal? They look like your standard ball python.

30 for them is a good price, i work at one and their normally 80. We're selling em like hot cakes. Make sure they're eating though, we have couple in the back (nfs) that refuse to eat.
If I ask them if they are eating are they going to give me a straight answer? Should I request to see them fed?

the fact that the ball is at petco should be reason enough not to buy lol.
we have a snake feeding log, and i believe every other store is also required to have one, ask to see it, or even ask to see it fed.
Dont buy from petco, go and look on kingsnake for one
I refuse to buy anything from petco let alone any petstore as most of the animals they sell are WC and most people give horrible advice about housing and feeding most reptiles they sell. Go to a breeder as they actually care about the animals and at least some of them are not in it for the money, they will answer all your questions truthfully and help you if needed.
