Ironically I just had a shortbody from my pair of regular sized/shaped carpintis. Unfortunately it died though. But I still have the parents so hopefully I can find another from their next spawn. But yes they are pure bred mutations of carpintis just like the short body(jellybean) convicts. Neither are hybrids like most people think they are.
