Balzanii questions

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Op- I pulled a "trio" of very skinny young ones as juveniles- turned out to be 2 males one female - the dominant male is rough on the other but nothing crazy in a community

Pete- if your id inc location on balzini- want to tell me where mine came from? Lol

Thanks

This would end up being just balzanii in this tank. I'm just afraid that with 3 males 2 will turn on 1. Maybe I'll just give it a go first and see what happens.

Bristlenose should be fine, as long as you're not freezing out your tanks during the cool down period. I keep Bristlenose in my outdoor pond in South Florida and the temps swing down into the upper 60s for about a month, so it really depends on how cold your tanks are going to get in the winter. If you're really concerned, you can always pull them out during the cool down periods. I wouldn't however do that with wild plecos, captive bred are typically hardier and more forgiving.

Behaviors were very similar - both bred like rabbits, lol
