Bamboo cave?

Saw bamboo caves for sale from china.

Would love that type of stuff for my plecos, wondering if I could make it myself?

That's all you need. Wood caves work as well, and so do slate. All can be done DIY.

i believe bamboo or any kind of wood would need to be dried out for a very long time, i personally wouldn't do it because growing up i use to break them down and they would give off some sapish substance so i would think that WOULD BE DANGEROUS FOR FISH!

Working with bamboo is rough. You need a certain type of saw I believe or it will end up splintering all over the place. That's just the getting a piece ready problems, as far as putting it in water I have no idea.

Theres bamboo poles already hallowed out. No sap- but my concern is like some wood are bad and others can last a long time. I dont know about untreated bamboo as I do not really want to mess with chemicals.
