If looks just inflamed and not swollen and he is eating I would not worry too much about it. If he stops eating that’s when I would worry. Some of the whitespotteds I have worked with have rubbed themselves on their noses when they have been in confined spaces or in tanks with lots of décor. If you think he is running into things trying to swim you might want to conceder taking out some of the rock you have. Freeing up some of the tank might help him out.
