what would be a good stocking for a 480g tank, an 8x4x2ft tank? looking at bamboo catsharks or eppaulettes.

thanks

Could get a pair of coral catsharks, a pair of bamboos may get to big. Anyways, coral catsharks are much more active in my opinion. Tankmates could include tangs, groupers, stingrays, etc. No angels, triggers, puffers, lionfish and the list goes on

thanks. ill have to look around at tangs and groupers then, ill already have a stingray tank so yeah.

Yeah, small catsharks (marble or coral) would be the way to go. Avoid most of the bamboo sharks as they would outgrow that tank.

As for bamboos or Eppies - if you do get one - be sure to stick with a smaller species such as the Gray Bamboo(C. griseum), Arabian Bamboo(C. arabicum) or the Papuan Eppie (H. hallstromi) as these species all grow to only about 30 inches. So you should be okay since this is only about 3 inches more that a Coral Catshark maximum of 27".

if you want bamboo, look for the Arabian as mentioned. Those are fairly hardy and stay a good size for your tank.
so thats two in that tank with a few tangs or something like that? something open watered would be nice....
